Platform use rules

Acceptable use for customers, businesses, PMs, contractors and partner trades

SamePage is used to coordinate real projects, payments, diary commitments, customer communications and compliance-sensitive work. Misuse can create legal, financial and safety risk quickly. These rules sit alongside the main terms and let SamePage act when the platform itself is being abused.

Last updated 5 April 2026

No impersonation

Do not create false identities, fake businesses or misleading trade credentials.

No unlawful work

Do not use SamePage to arrange unlawful, unsafe, unlicensed or non-compliant work.

No scraping or extraction

Do not copy, harvest, scrape or bulk-extract platform data without written permission.

Respect users

No harassment, threats, abuse, doxxing or discriminatory conduct through any SamePage feature.

1. Prohibited behaviour

  • Misrepresenting your identity, authority, trade status, qualifications, insurance, approvals or relationship to a project.
  • Uploading malicious code, attempting unauthorised access, probing the platform for weaknesses or bypassing technical restrictions.
  • Using customer or business data obtained through SamePage for spam, unrelated marketing, cold outreach or any purpose outside the legitimate project relationship.
  • Posting unlawful, defamatory, infringing, threatening, abusive, obscene or discriminatory content.

2. Quote, booking and payment integrity

  • Do not manipulate quote workflows, guide ranges, FastTrack status or cancellation evidence dishonestly.
  • Do not ask another user to approve work, cost or delivery status that you know is false or materially misleading.
  • Do not upload false photos, fabricated scope information, invented damage or misleading access information in order to influence price or liability.

3. Partner and multi-trade coordination rules

Partner linking and coordination tools are consent-based. Do not share another company's documents, pricing, timings, contacts or project detail beyond the permission mode actually granted.

If you are a PM or lead business coordinating multiple trades, you are responsible for ensuring that instructions passed through SamePage are accurate, authorised and appropriate for the recipient trade.

4. Customer portal and property record use

Customer portals, property history and materials-ledger records are for legitimate project administration and continuity. They must not be used to stalk, profile, embarrass or commercially exploit another user.

Only upload content you are entitled to use and share. If a document or photo belongs to a third party or contains sensitive information, you must have a lawful basis to upload it.

5. Enforcement

If SamePage reasonably believes these rules are being breached, it may remove content, suspend features, limit visibility, require additional verification, pause payouts, restrict partner sharing or suspend or terminate an account.

Enforcement action may be taken urgently where there is a credible legal, safety, fraud or security risk. SamePage is not required to wait until loss has already occurred.
